The intra oral camera will provide you with a picture of your dental health needs. This process allows you to have an interactive role in planning your dental treatment plan options.

Full Mouth X-RAYs

Benefits of full series x-rays

Our office takes a full series of x-ray (18 films) during your new patient exam and at appropriate intervals to assist with diagnosing your dental health needs as well as to look for any cyst or tumors that may be present.

We use digital x-ray sensors which are quite sensitive, so the amount of radiation exposure is very low. Compared to conventional x-rays, digital x-ray systems can reduce the amount of radiation up to 80 percent.

Bite Wing X-RAYs

Benefits of bitewing x-rays

These x-rays give us valuable information about a variety of oral conditions, including:
Cavities between the teeth
Tartar on the tooth roots
Warn-out or broken fillings or crowns
Receding bone levels resulting from periodontal disease

We use digital x-ray sensors which are quite sensitive, so the amount of radiation exposure is very low. Compared to conventional x-rays, digital x-ray systems can reduce the amount of radiation up to 80 percent.

More about Insurance

How insurance plans determine payment

Dental insurance is a benefit that is determined by your employer. The term "usual and customary" is based upon the type of plan your employer purchases and is not a reflection of the fees that the dentist charges for quality dental services.

It is important to note that this office does not allow insurance to dictate treatment. We diagnose and treatment plan all of your necessary dental needs. We are happy to assist you with utilizing your dental benefits to their full extent. By addressing your needs early, this office strives to prevent patients from needing additional expensive services.

Unfortunately, most insurance plans have not kept up with advances in dentistry. Some plans will not cover mercury-free fillings on back teeth, fluoride treatments for adults or more frequent and necessary periodontal cleaning visits in order to monitor and arrest gum disease.
